Leaving the ferry at either Craignure or Fishnish, follow the main road northwards towards Salen. In the village having passed the Salen Hotel on your right take the next left at the Church, signposted Gruline (B8035).
Continue for about 2 miles until the "Y" junction is reached, bear left passing Gruline Church on your left. We are less than one minute away now.
Continue for approximately 400 metres passing the sign for "Macquarries Mausoleum" where a cottage will be seen coming up on the right (The Old Schoolhouse). Immediately after the cottage you will see the "Hideaway Lodges" sign, turn sharp right down the track.
