Hideaway Self Catering Lodges

Hideaway Lodges, Gruline, Isle of Mull

A poor life this, if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.....

Just imagine... relaxing on the verandah of your superbly appointed Scandinavian Timber Lodge looking out over Loch na Keal towards Mull's companion islands, Ulva, Staffa and Eorsa, or perhaps just watching an Eagle glide effortlessly overhead.Maybe catching a glimpse of our resident family of Fallow Deer or just listening to the River Ba murmuring as it flows gently by in front of the Lodges.

There are so many moods to enjoy throughout the year, whenever you choose to visit us....

Perhaps you enjoy the Springtime - you'll certainly relish holidaying at Drumlang then, when the Bluebells create an endless carpet stretching throughout our 15 acre Oak and Birch woodland. Choosing to stroll even deeper into the woods, you will come across one of our many secrets - our very own ancient magical standing stone. Who will be the first to spot it?

Do you love the Summer? - here you can escape life's hustle and bustle and soak up the complete peace and tranquility we can guarantee you will experience at Hideaway Lodges.

Can you imagine Autumn here? Not only do Nature's glorious colours surround us, but we also witness the awe-inspiring sunsets for which the West Coast of Scotland is famous. Gaze through the French windows in your Lounge at this jaw-dropping spectacle, watching as the sunset brings a rosy glow to your beautiful Timber-lined Lodge.

Then there is Winter. This year why not spend it with the stars! Mull enjoys virtually no light pollution and the sky is alight with stars, the Milky Way stretching out before you. Remember you will be snug and cosy in your Lodge - they are designed for the coldest of Scandinavian Winters - you won't give the weather a second thought; you'll be too busy planning tomorrow's adventure.

But we do understand that as wonderful as Drumlang is, you will want to explore the rest of the island. What better place to start from, as we are right in the centre of Mull, ideally placed to explore both the North and the South (including lona). Drumlang is situated at the narrowest part of Mull (the Island is just over 2 miles wide here), so not only is the West Coast on your doorstep, you're only 5 minutes from having the Eastern side open up before you!

There is so much to see and do on Mull. Be it witnessing spectacular scenery, wildlife and historic castles or simply discovering some special place that only you seem to know about.

A special place?
